Arimistead's Armi w/ Woah Nelly

“Armistead’s Armi” is a kaleidoscopic collective led by Athens music and art scene visionary Armistead Wellford, best known as co-founder of influential art-rock pioneers Love Tractor.

With Wellford at the helm, the band’s sound recalls the best of early ‘80s Athens pop, filtered through the multi-instrumentalist’s prismatic visions of then-ness and now-ness. The assembled troop’s mission is anchored by a decidedly funky mix of ‘70s-style grooves tempered by ‘80s-born angular abstractions.

The result is a thoroughly modern, non-stop party set of literate and highly danceable compositions - featuring the leader’s good-natured charm with subtle nods to his artistic roots and various psychedelic explorations.

The April 2026 version of the band includes Wellford, joined by fellow Love Tractor alumsAndrew Carter (bass), Doug Stanley(keyboards) and Joe Rowe (drums) - and a few special guests to add even more unscripted excitement to the band’s wayward party train.

Grab your tickets NOW for the party - before the always-in-demand Wellford leaves to shoot another season as a cast member of HBO’s “The Gilded Age.”

Woah Nelly is a three piece indie rock outfit based out of Atlanta, GA. Initially forming in 2024 for the purpose of playing at a friend's house party, they have continuously written, recorded, and performed original music together around the Atlanta and Athens area. Their sound combines elements of punk, new wave, indie, and prog rock but with a style all their own. This is a band you'll want to say "Howdy Doody" to when they come to your town.
