Jim Willingham’s songs explore themes of comedy and tragedy in short narratives and constellations of images. He has put out 13 albums with various bands since his teenage years. His album, Ham1, was chosen as top local pick of 2005. A song from his band Old Smokey, was chosen for Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year, 2020. He has toured with Vic Chesnutt, Liz Durrett, and Ham1. 

Lance Porter is a songwriter and guitarist now based in Athens after a decade with the Baton Rouge garage-rock collective, The Rakers. As the group’s lead guitarist and a co-songwriter/vocalist, Porter helped shape their signature brand of garage noir rock. His solo electric performances lean into that Southern-gothic tradition, featuring dark-witted narratives and atmospheric rearrangements of his band catalog. The Rakers’ fifth full-length album is due out next fall on New Orleans-based Full Tilt Records.
