Norma Rae
Southern gothic band, Norma Rae, writes songs about the South. All the stories are sown from the "soggy" part of the real South - the place where both good and evil take root, and where certainly everything grows..
Norma Rae was formed in Athens, Georgia, in 2008 as an independent recording project addressing southern social concerns. The "Norma Rae Project" grew into a permanent band by 2011. Kelly Hoyle, Jeff Rieter, Wade Newbury and Jeff Soileau round out the line-up.
"We always love coming to Athens, just a great town with a great venue, the Georgia Theatre, and always really great people. What's not to love? We had a lot of fun after the show up on the rooftop listening to local band Norma Rae, who were great. Check 'em out!"

The sound of The Homewood Sound has been compared to bands like the Black Keys, the Teskey Brothers, and The Black Crowes.
