The follow-up to 2019's Wings Alleluia, Ancient Future (3/10/23) is a contemplative and uplifting soundtrack through themes of time, consciousness, imagination, hope, memory, and love--with influences including magical realism, science fiction, gospel,  transcendentalism, and the natural and supernatural worlds.

Since 2009, Thayer has released five LPs, a live Ep with a string chamber ensemble in Athens, and several singles. Her compositions have been featured in several network television shows, soundtracks, documentaries, and installations. She has also released books of original artworks and lyrics. In addition to her own band, she is a well known collaborator with numerous acts as a session musician (of Montreal, Cracker, Jessie Baylin, T. Hardy Morris, Hayes Carll, more).
